Gaddigaon (Aritar) Basera Retreat

The Bassera Retreat is situated in GaddiGaon (Aritar), a location in East Sikkim, India, renowned for its natural and well-maintained beauty, and is a part of the Rongli Sub-Division. It is located on the periphery of the Himalayas and is approximately a four-and-a-half-hour journey from NJP. The region is geographically isolated from the rest of the state, situated on Sikkim's extreme eastern border and bordered by Mt. Kanchenjunga. It is characterized by verdant forests, towering mountains, and meandering rivers. Aritar is situated about 63 kilometers from Gangtok and takes approximately 3 hours to reach. The Lampokari Lake in Aritar is surrounded by lush vegetation. Recently, an artificial embankment was constructed around this water body to promote boating, which is a first in Sikkim. Mankhim Dara, where a temple dedicated to the ethnic Rai group is located, can be reached after a short journey. In the month of March/April, Aritar hosts the Lampokhari Tourism Festival, which offers activities such as boating on Lampokhari Lake, horseback riding around the lake, a traditional archery tournament, and short hikes to adjacent hilltops and viewpoints.

আরিতার লেক থেকে মেরেকেটে ১০ মিনিটের হাঁটা,প্রাকৃতিক সৌন্দর্যের প্রাচুর্যে মনভোলানো পাগল করা এক গ্রামের পথ বেয়ে গাড্ডিগাঁও. এখানে প্রতি বছর বসে লামপোখরি টুরিজম ফেস্টিভ্যাল. ফেস্টিভ্যালের জন্য নির্দিষ্ট ময়দান এর ঠিক সামনেই আছে ছবির মতো সুন্দর বাড়ি আর কটেজ নিয়ে দি বসেরা রিট্রিট. সামনে ফুলে ফুলে ভরে থাকা বাগান, খড়ের ছাউনি দেয়া বসার জায়গা আর ঘর থেকে মুখ বাড়ালেই কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘা, সব মিলিয়ে পাগল করা সৌন্দর্য. ইচ্ছে হলেই পায়ে পায়ে চলে যেতে পারেন আরিতার বা লামপোখরি লেক এর ধারে. আরিতার লেকের সুন্দর বাঁধানো পাড় .দিয়ে ঘুরে নিন লেকের চারিপাশে, আবার লেকের পাশ থেকে সিঁড়ি বেয়ে উঠে পড়া যায় মানখিম ভিউ পয়েন্ট এ, অবর্ণনীয় সৌন্দর্যের স্বাক্ষী হবেন কথা দিলাম. অন্তত উপভোগ করা যেতেই পারে পান্না সবুজ জলের লেকে বোটিং এর অভিজ্ঞতা
