প্রায় দশ হাজার ফুট উচ্চতায় মেঘেদের আস্তানা এই জুলুক......আসলে আজকে জুলুকের বিষদ বিবরণ নিতান্তই নিষ্প্রয়োজন ......সিল্করুট আর জুলুক দুটো নাম যেন অঙ্গাঙ্গি ভাবে জড়িয়ে গ্যাছে......এখনো অধিকাংশ পর্যটকের কাছে পুরো সিল্করুট তাই জুলুক নামে পরিচিত ........কনকনে ঠান্ডা ........অতলস্পর্শী খাদের কিনারে ঝুলে থাকা রাস্তা .......তুষারপাত .......আর যখন সূর্যের আলোয় উপরের পাহাড়ের বরফ ঢাকা অংশ গুলো রুপোর বর্ণ ধারণ করে তখন সেই রূপ থেকে চোখ ফেরাবে এরকম নিরস মানুষ  পৃথিবীতে বিরল .....যখন খাদের নিচ থেকে উঠে আসতে থাকে মেঘের ভেলা মনে হয় পায়ের তলায় মেঘের সমুদ্র .......আছড়ে পড়বে এখুনি .......ভিজিয়ে দিয়ে যাবে পায়ের আঙ্গুল ........কতটুকুই বা চেনা যায় জুলুক কে এই সামান্য কাটা দিনের সফরে ....কিন্তু উপায় নেই সময় যে বড় অল্প দেখে নিতে হবে সব কিছু তাই একরাত্রি বা দুরাত্রি তে সীমাবদ্ধ থেকে যায় এই অধুরি প্রেম কাহানি .......   .......কিন্তু জুলুকে  বড় সমস্যা হলো থাকার জায়গা ......গোটা  গ্রাম টাই তো আসলে মিলিটারি অধ্যুষিত ........যারা থাকেন তাদের বেশিরভভাগ মানুষকেই নিয়ে আসা হয়েছিল মিলিটারিদের কাজের স্বার্থে ......এবং সেই সব মানুষ ই বসবাস করেন বনদপ্তরের জমিতে অস্থায়ী আস্তানা গড়ে .....আজ্ঞে হ্যাঁ ঠিকই ধরেছেন খুব স্বাভাবিক ভাবেই হোমস্টেগুলো কখনোই খুব উন্নত মানের হয় না .......স্থায়ী ঠিকানা নয় কিনা ......যারা খুব উৎসাহী তাঁরা বহু কষ্ট মেনে নিয়ে হাসিমুখে এতকাল জুলুকে রাত্রিবাস করে গ্যাছেন.....কিন্তু এটাও সত্যি ঐরকম মারাত্মক ঠান্ডা প্রকৃতি .......যেকোনো সময় তুষারপাতের ভ্রূকুটি .....তাতে যদি থাকার জায়গা ভালো না হয় তাহলে বয়স্কমানুষ বা ছোট বাচ্চাদের নিয়ে জুলুকে রাত্রিবাস রীতিমতো ভয়ের বিষয় ......কিন্তু সুখবর টা এবার দিয়েই দি .......হে পর্যটক বন্ধু আর চিন্তার কোনো কারণ নেই .....জুলুকের সেরা ঠিকানা .......প্রথম বিলাসবহুল  হোটেল  নিয়ে হাজির জুলুক বসেরা  রিট্রিট    ........কি নিজের চোখকে বিশ্বাস হচ্ছে না ?.....আপনি ঠিক ই পড়ছেন জুলুকের ওই প্রতিকূল পরিবেশেও এবার ভালো থাকা আপনার হাতের মুঠোয় .........

নিউ জলপাইগুড়ি বা বাগডোগরা থেকে আসা রেশম পথের যাত্রীরা চলে আসুন আগমলোক-এ। জায়গাটি আপার লিংতামে। এখান থেকে সিঙ্গালিলা রেঞ্জ, ভুটান পাহাড় সমেত নীচের (লিংতাম অঞ্চলের) সবুজ উপত্যকার ছবি মুগ্ধ করবে। আগমলোক মনাস্ট্রিটি খুব একটা বড় নয়। কিন্তু চারপাশের পরিবেশ খুব সুন্দর। এখানকার সানরাইজ পয়েন্ট থেকে কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘা, কাবরু, রাথং সমেত অন্যান্য তুষারশৃঙ্গের দৃশ্য অসাধারণ। আগমলোকে রাত্রিবাস করে, পরদিন সকালে সানরাইজ পয়েন্ট থেকে তুষারশৃঙ্গে রঙের খেলা দেখে গাড়ি নিয়ে বেরিয়ে পড়ুন সিল্করুট ভ্রমণে। লিংতামের উচ্চতা (৪৫০০ ফুট) বেশ কম বলে, রেশমপথে যাওয়ার আগের রাতটা আপার লিংতাম অর্থাৎ আগমলোক-এ কাটানোটাই শ্রেয়। খুব মারাত্মক উচ্চতার নয় (৭০০০ ফুট) যে উচ্চতাজনিত অসুবিধা হবে, চারপাশের প্রাকৃতিক দৃশ্যাবলীও সুন্দর, আবার অধিক উচ্চতায় যাওয়ার আগে শরীরকে একটু সইয়ে নেওয়াও যাবে। তা ছাড়া গিজার ও অন্যান্য অত্যাবশ্যকীয় সুবিধাসহ রাত্রিবাস আরামদায়ক হলে, পরদিন রেশমপথ সফর আনন্দদায়ক হওয়ার সম্ভাবনাই বেশি।

রংলি বাজার থেকে বামদিকের পথ ধরে চলা শুরু আবার একটু পরেই পরিবর্তিত হবে দৃশ্যপট .....উঁচু উঁচু পাহাড়ের সারি ........অতলস্পর্শী খাদ .......পাহাড়ের উপর গোপন কোটর থেকে ঝাঁপিয়ে পড়া ঝর্ণা দেখতে দেখতে আরো প্রায় ১৪ কিলোমিটার গিয়ে পৌঁছবো যে জায়গায় সেখানেও শুধু অবিশ্রান্ত জলরাশির বয়ে চলার তুমুল শব্দ ........গাড়ি থেকে নেমে পেরোতে হবে কিছু সিঁড়ি ......এরই ওই তো দেখা যাচ্ছে তাকে ......প্রচন্ড খরস্রোতা তরঙ্গরাশি আর জংলী পরিবেশ নিয়ে রোলেপ রানী আমাদের অপেক্ষায় .....নদীর পাড় বরাবর ছবির মতো কটেজ......মোট তিনটি  ঘর ....মেরেকেটে ১২ জনের থাকার জায়গা আছে ......আরে আরে আগেই পা বাড়ালেন যে জলের টানে ......কি আর করা যাবে এমনি তার দুর্নিবার আকর্ষণ ........বড় বড় পাথর .আর ঘাসের জঙ্গল পেরিয়ে নদীর পাশে পৌঁছলেই ....কি আশ্চর্য নদীর জলের এরকম রং ও হয় নাকি নীলাভ সবুজ ......মনে হয় কে যেন প্যালেটে রং নিয়ে খেলা করেছে......বড় বড় পাথরের ফাঁক দিয়ে দুর্দান্ত গতি তে ছুতে এসে খানিক যেন বিশ্রাম নিচ্ছে ক্ষনিকের তরে........একটা গোলাকার জলাধারের আকার সৃষ্টি হয়েছে ......আবার তারপর ছুট ছুট আর ছুট .......যেন পবিত্র জলরাশির কানে কানে কেউ বলে দিচ্ছে ......স্মরণ করিয়ে দিচ্ছে .......এখানে থেমো না .......যেতে হবে আরো দূর .......অনেক দূর ........সব মিলিয়ে রোলেপের এই নদীর পাড় যেন রুপোলি পর্দার নায়ক নায়িকাদের শুটিং ক্ষেত্র ......এখ্খুনি কোনো পাথরের উপর দাঁড়িয়ে কোনো নায়ক নায়িকা গান গেয়ে উঠবে ...."ইয়ে কাহান আ গয়ে হাম 
ইউনহি সাথ সাথ  চলতে"....আর একটা গোপন কথা বলি এই সুন্দরীর নীলাভ চোখ আর উচ্ছল শরীরী বিভঙ্গের দিকে তাকালে আমারো মনপ্রাণ গুনগুনিয়ে ওঠে "তারিফ করু ক্যা উনকি জিসনে তুমহে বানায়া".... সত্যি ঈশ্বর যেন মন ঢেলে বানিয়েছে এই জায়গা    সত্যি রোলেপ একদম সিনেমায় দেখা নয়নাভিরাম দৃশ্যপটের সাথে তুলনীয় .......আরে এতক্ষন তো শুধু জলের দিকে চোখ ছিল উপরের দিকে তাকাতেই আর এক চমক... কি আশ্চর্য ওই উঁচু পাহাড়ের মাথায় রুপোলি বরফের দেখা .........হবেই তো এই যদি আসছে মেমেঞ্চ লেক থেকে আর পিছনদিকে যেদিক টা দেখছেন অনেক উঁচুতে ওটা তো আসলে ছাঙ্গু নাথুলার দিক .......তাই শীত ঘেঁষা সময় হলে বরফ দেখতে পাওয়াই স্বাভাবিক .......তবে কনকনে ঠান্ডা হাওয়ায় বেশিক্ষন দাঁড়ানো মুশকিল ........রোলেপের আর এক আকর্ষণ একটি ঝুলন্ত সেতু .......পায়ে পায়ে ঘুরে আসুন ......চারপাশের সবুজের সমারোহ আর জলের জলতরঙ্গ এক অনবদ্য না ভুলতে পারা স্মৃতি হয়ে থেকে যাবে আপনার মনে .......আর যখন সন্ধে ঘনাবে গাঢ় অন্ধকার রহস্যময়তা আর অবিশ্রান্ত জলরাশির ছুটে চলার শব্দ আর সাথে হোমস্টের বারান্দায় বসে জমে উঠবে সান্ধ্যকালীন আড্ডা ......শুধু তন্ময়তা ......শুধু বিস্ময় .....হয়তো বা প্রকৃতির সাথে নীরব কথোপকথন বা গানে কবিতায় জমে ওঠা সন্ধ্যা .......আসলে এখানে এলে যে শিল্পীসত্তার স্ফুরণ ঘটবেই ঘটবেই .....
